What is The Kick Switch?

The Kick Switch is a specially-designed switch you use to turn your garbage disposal on and off. Once installed, it works like a regular switch: press once to turn on your garbage disposal, and press it again to turn your disposal off.

The main difference between The Kick Switch and a regular switch is placement. A regular, electrical switch requires you to operate it with your hands, even if they are wet from washing the dishes. Since The Kick Switch is foot-operated, wet hands are not a problem. Plus the air-driven design of The Kick Switch means that the Kick Button, the part of The Kick Switch you kick, has no electrical components whatsoever, adding an additional layer of separation between you and the electric current. (The Control Box is the only part of The Kick Switch that handles electricity.)
